What is Tarragon?
Tarragon is a species of perennial herb in the sunflower family. It is widespread in the wild across much of Europe, Asia and North America. It is cultivated for culinary and medicinal purposes.
Where does Tarragon Come From?
The variety of Tarragon used in the kitchen tends to be French Tarragon. It is not grown from the seed as the flowers are sterile. It is propagated by root division instead.
